Bifacial solar modules generate electricity on both the front and rear sides. Reflected light from the ground (albedo) is additionally utilized. In agri-PV applications, they are particularly effective as bright soils and vegetation reflect significant amounts of light. Yield gains of 5-25% compared to monofacial modules are achievable.
