Frequently asked questions for investors
What return does an Agri-PV investment deliver?
Agri-PV projects typically achieve an equity return of 14-20% before tax. Annual revenue is around 110,000 EUR per installed MWp. The exact return depends on location, system type and marketing model.
What is the difference between Agri-PV and ground-mounted solar?
With Agri-PV, agricultural use is preserved — the land is used twice. Ground-mounted solar excludes farming. Agri-PV therefore receives higher EEG surcharges and the CAP subsidy remains intact.
How secure is the remuneration?
The EEG feed-in tariff is legally guaranteed for 20 years. Agri-PV receives an additional surcharge compared to ground-mounted solar. In addition, long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) are possible.
What investment models are available?
There are three main models: (1) Direct project participation as owner or co-investor, (2) Lease income as land owner, (3) EEG-secured remuneration via feed-in models. DoppelErnte advises on all variants.
What is the minimum investment amount?
Typical Agri-PV projects have investment volumes from around 800,000 EUR (for 1 MWp). For smaller participations please contact us — we also broker co-investment opportunities.
How long until the first returns?
From first consultation to commissioning typically takes 6-18 months (planning, permits, construction). Revenue starts flowing immediately after commissioning via the EEG feed-in tariff.
